More about the Challenger 605
World famous business aircraft manufacturers Bombardier continually produce more and more promising, innovative, and efficient contributions to the industry as the years go by. The Challenger series of business jets is a hugely successful line and one of the headliners in the Bombardier fleet. Building upon the excellence and success of the Challenger 604, the 605 is intended to offer modern improvements in virtually all areas. The improvements over the Challenger 604 are significant, but to truly appreciate the epic scope of evolution, you have to go back as far as the Challenger 601. The 605 is the fifth generation of a concerted effort by Bombardier to continually improve upon the Challenger series. This is no easy task as the Challenger 604 has some large shoes to fill, but Bombardier is always up to the challenge. Fortunately, the 605 does not disappoint and while improving and upgrading various components also took care to preserve the features that were best left alone. Updated, but not intrinsically impaired, the Challenger 605 has revolutionized modern business and VIP travel.

Key Features of the Challenger 605
Although the avionics system of the Challenger 604 were considered to be revolutionary at the time, Bombardier has made the decision to replace the previous Pro Line 4 system with the new-and-improved Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Integrated Avionics System. Bombardier is confident that this will be a significant improvement for pilot efficiency and performance. Notable improvements include a larger display, better pilot interface, and fewer control panels allowing the pilot to operate the aircraft more optimally. Supplementing a powerful duo of General Electric CF34-3B engines, the Challenger 605 can handle virtually any mission at hand. The 605 also boasts a 200 lb payload improvement over its predecessor thanks to optimal weight distribution and improved fuel economy. Additionally, the 605 is designed to have seamless and straightforward maintenance procedures, which effectively reduces the cost of operations for the owners, operators, and end user. Bombardier took an already successful pioneer and made it even better. The 605 manages to innovate, while at the same time staying true to its roots.
Capabilities of the Challenger 605
The Challenger's spacious cabin has been left intact, and still offers various configurations to optimize interior seating arrangements. It can comfortably accommodate around 9 passengers with a maximum passenger capacity of 13 plus three crew. Cabins of this size are essential for the long-distance trips that the Challenger 605 is designed for, but while its physical size has been left alone, the interior cabin has been improved in many simple, but important ways. A 30% increase in natural lighting and a comfortable open-air atmosphere have been accomplished with larger windows in higher positions throughout the cabin for a total of a 14% increase in window size over the previous Challenger 604. Among other improvements, the larger LCD's, additional lighting, better worktables, improved lavatory, upgraded cabin electronic system, and even an upgraded kitchen have drastically improve the passenger experience. The cabin is an impressive 28' 3" long, 8' 2" wide, and 6'1" tall making it the widest stand-up cabin in its category.
