General Aviation District Office | Paramount Business Jets
Similar to a Flight Standards District Office (FSDO), a General Aviation District Office (GADO) is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) field office that serves as a designated geographical area and is staffed with Flight Standard's personnel who have the responsibility of serving the aviation industry and the general public.
Activities carried out by GADOs are the same as FSDOs and include general surveillance of operational safety, certification of airmen and aircraft, accident prevention, investigation, enforcement, etc. GADOs are also responsible for low-flying aircraft, accident reporting, aircraft maintenance, aircraft operational issues, aircraft permits, and certification and modification issues. Flight Standards District Offices particularly concentrate on enforcement of the federal aviation regulations in the United States.
